Our vision is for a world where your sight doesn't dictate your map. We believe that independence shouldn't end at the entrance of a library, the lobby of a museum, or the gates of a university.
Enter: The Virtual Guide Dog
We believe independence shouldn’t stop at the front door. That’s why we’ve developed the Virtual Guide Dog, a digital safety net designed to turn complex buildings into intuitive, navigable soundscapes.
Using real-time spatial audio, our solution allows users to follow the sound using a “Follow Me” spatial audio beacon, using the Meta Quest VR Headset and controller.
Powered by Play, Built for Purpose
The Virtual Guide Dog didn't come from a traditional navigation background. It was born from Red Nought’s expertise in high-performance gaming technology.
By leveraging the Red Forge engine, we’ve been able to apply gaming-grade precision to real-world accessibility. This tech allows us to map venues and deploy spatial audio paths with a level of speed and flexibility.
From the Lab to the Real World
Supported by a prestigious grant from Innovate UK, we have moved from technical prototyping to real-world testing. We are currently demonstrating our technology, proving that with the right soundscape, any environment can be inclusive.
Join the Movement
We are just getting started and are looking for forward-thinking venue managers and campus leads who want to be at the forefront of inclusive navigation.
Independence has a new sound. Are you ready to hear it?
